Maybe you’re searching for cruise insurance or flight cancellation insurance, or maybe you need more extensive coverage? No matter where your travels may take you, you can protect your investment with our international travel insurance.

With this robust travel insurance, you'll have coverage for:

Your Trip Expenses

If the money you spent for your trip is a material amount to you, consider protecting your investment with travel insurance.

Trip Cancellation — If you cancel your trip due to a covered reason*, this benefit reimburses you for nonrefundable, prepaid trip costs.

Trip Interruption — If you interrupt your trip for a covered reason*, this benefit reimburses you for unused, nonrefundable prepaid trip costs and additional transportation costs to:

  • Join your trip if you must depart after your scheduled departure date or travel via alternate travel arrangements; or

  • Rejoin your trip; or

  • Travel to your originally scheduled return destination.

Seven Corners Trip Protection also provides Trip Delay and Missed Cruise/Tour Connection coverages with benefits that are triggered by covered reasons detailed in our plans.

Trip Medical Expense Insurance**

If you become sick or injured while traveling, your health insurance at home may not cover it. Travel insurance can help protect against financial hardship due to unexpected medical expenses.

Your Belongings

You packed important items in your luggage! The Baggage and Personal Effects benefit in our plans provides reimbursement for belongings if they are stolen, lost, or damaged during your trip. There is also a benefit for baggage delay that can reimburse you for necessary personal effects you purchase while waiting for your bags, if they are delayed or misdirected by a common carrier. See the plan document for your residence state for details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our travel protection plan allows you to cancel your trip or interrupt it for a list of covered reasons, so it’s important to understand those reasons. You can view the list of covered reasons in your plan document and on the product page.

If you're concerned you may need to cancel or interrupt your trip for a reason not listed in the plan document, you may wish to consider purchasing two optional benefits:

  • Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR)***; and

  • Interruption for Any Reason (IFAR)***.

Optional Cancel for Any Reason travel insurance coverage (CFAR)***

This coverage pays 75% of your trip cost if you cancel your trip for any reason not otherwise covered. Restrictions may apply so review your plan document for details.

Optional Interruption for Any Reason travel insurance coverage (IFAR)***

Worried you may start your trip and then need to interrupt it for a reason not covered by your plan?

IFAR can help If you interrupt your trip 48 hours or more after your actual scheduled departure date for any reason not otherwise covered. This benefit can pay up to 75% of your insured trip cost to reimburse nonrefundable and unused prepaid trip expenses and additional transportation expenses if you must cut your trip short, start your trip late, rejoin your trip, or return from your trip late.

Here are a few examples of situations when these benefits could help.

What if you had a trip scheduled and discovered a week before your departure date that your destination was experiencing a huge increase in COVID-19 cases? You may decide you don't want to go on your trip because you're afraid of contracting COVID while traveling. Fear of travel is not a covered reason for canceling a trip, so you could buy CFAR*** to help in this type of situation.

Likewise, what if you traveled to your destination and spent a couple of days there, only to discover they were experiencing an increase in the number of locally transmitted COVID-19 cases? If you weren't comfortable with the precautions being taken and became fearful of contracting the virus, you may wish to go home early. Again, fear is not a covered reason for interrupting a trip, so you could buy IFAR*** for this situation.

Here are a few additional examples when IFAR*** or CFAR*** could prove helpful. There are many others.

  • Your pet becomes ill, and you want to cancel or interrupt your trip.

  • You have a falling out with a friend and no longer want to vacation with them, or you have a disagreement during your trip and wish to come home early.

  • You have an unexpected financial crisis and no longer want to travel.

Trip Medical Expense Insurance** coverage is especially important if you are traveling overseas. If you get hurt or become sick on your trip, you may need to seek medical treatment before you return home. Many domestic health insurance plans may not cover medical care you receive abroad (this includes Medicare). Also, some foreign providers may expect you to pay for services before you receive treatment or as soon as it's provided.

Our trip protection plans provide emergency medical benefits for sicknesses and injuries that occur when you are traveling. There is even a benefit for emergency dental expenses if you injure a sound, natural tooth.

Seven Corners Trip Protection plans include an emergency medical evacuation benefit that’s especially important if adequate and necessary medical treatment is not available in your immediate area. The benefit can pay to transport you to the nearest medical facility where treatment is available if you incur a sickness or injury that is acute or life threatening during your trip.

Our plans offer a range of emergency medical evacuation coverage, so you have options.

So, how much medical evacuation coverage do you need? It varies depending on your medical condition and your location. You may wish to consider your health and the location where you are traveling when you choose your plan.

*Covered reasons vary by the traveler's residence state. You can view the list of covered reasons in your plan document and on the product page after you provide your residence state.

**Our Seven Corners Trip Protection plans provide emergency medical expense benefits for sicknesses and injuries that occur when you are traveling.

***CFAR and IFAR are subject to certain eligibility criteria and are not available in all states. When you obtain a quote, you will be offered the benefit if it is available to you. Additional costs apply. Not available to NY residents.
