If you purchase a Seven Corners plan, your medical expenses for treatment for Coronavirus contracted on your trip can be covered.

Review the product page and/or plan document for each plan to understand how COVID-19 is covered. If you have any questions, reach out to our licensed sales agents for answers.

Visit renewalengine.sevencorners.com  and enter your certificate number (shown on your ID card) and the primary insured’s date of birth to log in. The primary insured is the person listed first on the plan.

Seven Corners Trip Protection, Get Away USA, and RoundTrip International:

In most cases, we cannot extend these plans unless you have not yet departed on your trip. If your coverage is ending soon, you can buy a travel medical plan if you are traveling outside of your home country.

Trip Cancellation Coverage

This coverage reimburses your nonrefundable prepaid trip expenses if you cancel for a covered reason. Covered reasons vary by plan, so review your plan document.

Coverage for COVID-19: The following covered reasons could provide coverage if triggered directly or indirectly by the COVID-19 pandemic: 

  • Quarantine
  • Sickness
  • Death
  • Called to military duty for a national disaster
  • Government mandated shut down of an airport or air traffic control system
  • Your host at your scheduled destination cannot provide accommodations due to a life-threatening sickness or injury or due to his/her death
  • Being laid off or fired from your job

In all cases, the triggering event must occur while coverage is in effect. Additional terms apply to all triggers discussed above. See your plan document for full details.

Our Trip Protection plans do not include a covered reason that allows you to cancel your trip for fear of travel due to COVID-19. Add Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) if you wish to cancel your trip for any reason.

Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) — If you purchase CFAR within the required time frame, it could allow you to cancel for fear of traveling, if you meet the requirements for CFAR.

CFAR is an optional benefit you can add to Seven Corners Trip Protection for an additional cost. CFAR pays 75% of your nonrefundable trip cost if you cancel your trip for any reason you choose.

Airline Reissue Fee — Under Trip Cancellation, you may receive this benefit.

If Your Travel Supplier cancels your trip, a benefit will be paid up to the maximum amount shown in your plan document for the reissue fee charged by the airline for the tickets. You must have covered the entire cost of Your Trip including the airfare cost.


Trip Interruption Coverage

Coverage for COVID-19: Benefits may include coverage for Trip Interruption if you interrupt your trip for an applicable covered reason. Covered reasons vary by plan, so review your plan document.

Possible covered reasons that could apply to COVID-19 include:

  • Quarantine
  • Sickness
  • Death
  • Called to military duty for a natural disaster
  • Government mandated shut down of an airport or air traffic control system
  • Your host at your scheduled destination cannot provide accommodations due to a life-threatening sickness or injury or due to his/her death

Trip Delay Coverage

Coverage for COVID-19: Benefits may include coverage for Travel Delay if you are delayed for the required number of hours for an applicable covered reason. Covered reasons vary by plan, so review your plan document.

Possible covered reasons that could apply for COVID-19 include:

  • Any delay of a Common Carrier (the delay must be certified by the common carrier)
  • Quarantine

Missed Connection

Coverage for COVID-19: Benefits may include coverage for Missed Connection. To trigger this coverage, you must miss a cruise or tour departure due to a delay for the required number of hours if the delay is caused by a covered reason. Covered reasons vary by plan, so review your plan document.

Covered reasons that could apply for COVID-19 include:

  • Any missed connection of a common carrier (the delay must be certified by the common carrier)
  • Quarantine

Trip Protection Medical Coverage

Accident and Sickness Medical Expenses, Emergency Medical Evacuation, Medical Repatriation, and Return of Remains — If you become ill with COVID-19 while traveling, claims will be considered on the same basis as any other covered sickness.
