Travel Insurance and the Conflict in Israel

Seven Corners encourages all travelers to review the USDOS travel alerts and warnings before planning a trip and traveling abroad. When purchasing travel insurance, be sure to read the plan document to fully understand what is covered as well as exclusions and limitations.

Seven Corners Trip Protection and RoundTrip Trip Protection

The underwriter for this plan, United States Fire Insurance Company, has classified the events in Israel on October 7-8, 2023, as a “Terrorist Incident.” Claims related to policies with the “Terrorist Incident” covered reason will be adjudicated on this basis and according to the terms and conditions of the policy.

If you purchased your plan on or before October 6, 2023, and have itineraries including Israel, you may be eligible for Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption benefits.

Coverage available for travelers could also include Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) and Interruption for Any Reason (IFAR).

Cancel for Any Reason: If a traveler wants the option to cancel their trip because of the situation in Israel, they could utilize CFAR. Their reason for canceling a trip could include, but is not limited to, fear of travel. Travelers should review the plan document for their state of residence for the requirements to purchase and make a CFAR claim.

Interruption for Any Reason: If a traveler wants the option to interrupt their trip because of the situation in Israel, they could utilize IFAR. Their reason for interrupting a trip could include, but is not limited to, fear of travel. Travelers should review the plan document for their state of residence for the requirements to purchase and make an IFAR claim.
